Using the Collection Module
The Collection module is used when you need to create a list/detail relationship that shares the same data, for example a list of employees that each have their own details page. This manual will guide you through the features so you can start creating collections. To access the Collection Module, click on the Modules tab in the left side navigation of your Site Dashboard. If you have the Collection Module installed on your site, you will see Collections in the left side menu.
Create a collection
Click on the "Add New" button in the top right in the first collection screen.
During creation you will choose a name for the collection, and a template for the collection detail page.
Add a new collection Item
After creating a collection you can add a collection item. Click on the "Add New" button in the top right, this will re-direct you to edit the content of the collection item.
Reorder collection items
Reordering collections can be done from the reorder menu located in the collection 3 dot menu at the top right of each collection.
The reorder screen allows you to drag and drop items to adjust their order. You can also use the number inputs to adjust the order of items.
Delete a collection item
Click on the "More" menu (3 dot icon) and select "Remove".
Add a new category
Click on the categories option in the "More" Menu top right. From this screen you can add as little or many categories as you need for the collection at large. Click the "Add New" button and name your new category.
Delete a category
Click on the "More" menu (3 dot icon) and select "Remove".
Main Content
All items in the "Main Content" area of the collection detail view can be used in the list version of the collection.
Publishing Collection Items
To publish a collection icon, click on the save icon and select "Publish".
Drafting Collection Items
To save a draft of a collection item, click on the save icon and select "Draft".
Adding Categories and Tags to Collection Icons
Click on the "More" menu (3 dot icon) and select "Settings" from the dropdown. From this menu you can add one or many categories or tags.
Editing SEO meta data for Collection Items
Click on the "More" menu (3 dot icon) and select "Settings" from the dropdown. Click on the "SEO" tab toward the top and fill in any SEO meta data.
Adding a collection list to a page
When a collection list is enabled for a particular page it will produce a dropdown control that will allow the selection of which collection you would like to use on the current page.
